Why does this matter?
When a game publisher sells Steam keys to multiple partners for distribution, it’s easy to lose sight of where games are sold and the status of redeemed keys.
With the Steam partner portal, publishers are shown an aggregated activation rate for the whole batch of keys, but not where each specific key came from. Was it a key through a bundle? An individual sale on an alternate distribution platform? A review key? These are all questions that remain unanswered!
The lack of insight is a publisher blind box and has been painfully tolerated for years.
- A generalized activation rate hides the partner-level detail publishers actually need to make smart distribution decisions.

How does it work?
Steam already allows publishers to check the status of any individual key through their partner dashboard, but this can only be checked one by one. With the Steam Key Checker, it can analyse the same data but in bulk, sorted by columns: activation status, activation date, the account that activated it, and the batch tag, for every single key, all at once in one CSV file.

We ensure that:
- No data leaves the user’s browser or enters Rokky’ servers by ensuring the tool runs entirely alongside the existing instance of the Steamworks session.
- The tool does not take any decisions with keys, it simply informs of the status. Revocation happens through Steam’s normal partner tools, with the user making the decision.
